I am fortunate to have a job which allows me to work from home nearly all the time. I live about 20-30 minutes from the office, but only venture in only about once every two weeks.

I love working from home and know that my productivity is increased by at least 40% on a slow day. Yeah, I measured that by using RescueTime diligently for a long time.

working at home ... loving it, crushing it

There are many reasons why I appreciate working from home. For one, I save myself the commute. I also gain flexibility to handle chauffeuring for my son during the day. Then there is the ability to take care of things around the house during breaks and avoiding the ever present “drive-by” meetings in the office.

Not everyone is as fortunate as I am. Some also struggle with making work happen from home.

My hope for this site is to share ideas around working from anywhere (especially home) and to provide approaches to making it happen for you.

As of late, I’ve also contemplated working from more exotic locations (besides local coffee shops). Perhaps a month in Italy as sort of a part work, part vacation experiment at greater work-life balance.

Here’s to loving and crushing remote work!
